Tube Oil Skimmer

A tube type oil skimmer is a mechanical device designed to remove floating oil, grease, and other hydrocarbons from the surface of water in industrial tanks, pits, or effluent treatment plants. It operates using a continuous endless loop tube made of a specially engineered material that attracts oil while repelling water. The floating tube rests on the liquid surface and adheres to oil, which is then drawn into the unit. Inside the skimmer, the oil is wiped off the tube by scrapers and collected into a reservoir or discharge line, while the cleaned tube is returned to the water surface for continuous operation. Tube type oil skimmers are widely used in wastewater treatment plants, machine tool sumps, oil-water separators, and process industries where tramp oil or floating oils need to be removed efficiently.
