A RO (Reverse Osmosis) Membrane is the central component of a reverse osmosis water purification system, designed to remove dissolved salts, impurities, and contaminants from water. It is a semi-permeable, thin-film composite (TFC) membrane that allows only water molecules to pass through while rejecting up to 95–99% of dissolved solids, heavy metals, microorganisms, and organic impurities.

The RO membrane functions under high pressure, forcing water through its microscopic pores (around 0.0001 microns in size). This process separates pure water (permeate) from concentrated impurities (reject water or brine). RO membranes are commonly used in domestic, commercial, and industrial water purification systems, providing safe drinking water, desalination of seawater, and treatment of wastewater.

High Rejection Rate

Removes 95–99% of dissolved salts, heavy metals, fluoride, nitrates, and other impurities.

Microscopic Pore Size

Pore size of about 0.0001 microns, effective in filtering out bacteria, viruses, and dissolved contaminants.

Thin Film Composite (TFC) Design

Durable and efficient material that ensures long-lasting performance.

Wide Applications

Suitable for household water purifiers, commercial water systems, seawater desalination, and industrial water treatment.

Energy Efficient

Works under moderate pressure to deliver purified water efficiently.

Long Service Life

Typically lasts 2–3 years (depending on water quality and usage).

Consistent Water Quality

Produces clean, safe, and great-tasting water.

Compact Size

Easy to integrate into different water purifier designs.

Low Maintenance

Requires only periodic replacement, with minimal maintenance effort.
